Medical Lake shortchanged

Politicians ignore people who elect them. The political agenda is to move everything to the West Side.

The state says they are closing Lakeland Village and Pine Lodge, taking prime employment and economy from Medical Lake.

Residents at Lakeland take community orientation outings to our parks, restaurants and supermarket.

Pine Lodge women run the recycling program for Medical Lake. They do an excellent job. Without these women, a great burden will be placed on the taxpayers of Medical Lake to find another solution for getting rid of our recyclables.

Medical Lake has always been fair to the state on contracts for water, sewer and emergency services. Now the state wants to stick it to us.

It is time all legislators on the East Side stand as one and fight harder for their constituents. The governor promised at election time to help the East Side. Where is she now? It does no good to e-mail her; she doesn’t answer. I know, I tried.

I’m sick of being Seattle’s poor cousin.
