Crump: Are Guys Evolving Faster?

I live with a geneticist and a feminist, so as you can imagine my opportunities for touting the superiority of men are limited. Luckily, I came upon an article in the journal Nature that claims the Y chromosome — the thing that makes a man male — is evolving much faster than the rest of the genetic code. A new study comparing the Y chromosomes from humans and chimpanzees, our nearest living relatives, shows that they’re about 30 percent different. That’s far greater than the 2 percent difference between the rest of the human genetic code and that of the chimp’s. These changes happened in the last 6 million years or so — relatively recently when it comes to evolution/ Steve Crump , Twin Falls Times-News. More here .

Question: What do you make of this new study than mankind is evolving faster than womankind?
