KT: High School Grads Falling Short

KerriT: I believe the statistic for high school seniors who go on to a 4-year college is about 25%. Anyone know the % of those who do go to college actually graduate with a degree? On the face of it, 75% of high school graduates are not going on to college for whatever reason.

Question: Who’s more to blame for a smart high school graduate not going on to college? The student? Or the family from which the student comes (for not developing a go-to-college mind set)?
