Democrats not themselves
No surprise that Democrats lost Kennedy’s Massachusetts Senate seat. Candidate Coakley was pharma’s choice. Voters said, “Where’s the change we can believe in?”
As a lifelong Democrat, I will not vote Dem again until I see a candidate who ACTS like a Dem, who has the courage of their convictions, not one standing with their hand in the pockets of pharma, insurance and corporations, or who trembles at the very mention of AIPAC or Israel.
One who stands up for women’s rights, for our civil rights, now in such shameful disrepair, and who is not fooled by every lie the Pentagon or the president tells to frighten them into waging yet another illegal, unnecessary war, or further dismantling our constitutional safeguards.
One who supports a presidential candidate who has some measure of integrity and courage, not one who loads up his Cabinet with the very looters who drove the economy into the ground and the warmongers who feel it their right to pound and torment entire nations who never harmed us.
Judging from Dem performance over the past 20 years, it will be a VERY long time before I vote Dem again.
