Fiasco cost keeps mounting

Once again the two county commissioners’ frustrated NASCAR drivers are spending more of our tax dollars ($588,000) for their original bad decision to purchase a white elephant. Aren’t we still responsible for an operator’s debt of $1.1 million? How much revenue does the county realize from this fiasco? Do we intend to continue to pay and pay for this poor decision?

Do the two commissioners realize the economic situation we are in? If they worked for me with decisions like these, they would not be.

It certainly isn’t government’s duty or responsibility to run a private business. I certainly think a private organization with the proper expertise could run it at a profit and pay taxes to the county, income that the county needs.

We need to get rid of Mielke and Richard at the next election cycle. Bonnie Mager is much more fiscally aware. Remember, we hired ’em, we can fire ’em.
