Vote insistence spotty

A few years ago Spokane County Commissioner Todd Mielke couldn’t justify spending money on mentally ill without a vote from taxpayers. I don’t recall any such vote on the expensive “Raceway Park” and I quite frankly doubt taxpayers would have backed buying that in first place, far less throwing another half million at it this year.

Public employees (including police) are losing their jobs. Country Homes Boulevard is a public health hazard. Get the dirt and weeds out so the water won’t sit around in pools breeding mosquitoes. We read about West Nile virus being found in Ephrata and let this festering mess exist because some of our county commissioners can’t get their priorities right.
