Plane Lands On Free Near NW Blvd

Passengers of a small plane say engine problems forced the pilot to make an emergency landing on Interstate 90 near Northwest Boulevard in Coeur d’Alene Sunday night.The pilot of the plane had his mother, son and son’s fiancé on board. The plane began to have engine problems during a fireworks sightseeing trip that took them over Coeur d’Alene.As the plane began to lose power, the pilot was forced to land the aircraft on the eastbound lanes of the interstate. Idaho State Police dispatchers received numerous calls just before 11:00 p.m. saying the plane had made an emergency landing and was sitting in the median.
