Vote for restraint

We have an opportunity and an obligation this August to exert restraint over our government at all levels. We’re blessed to have outstanding candidates, and it’s up to us to send them to the general elections. These candidates believe the Constitution is to be respected as the law of the land, not used as mere suggestions.

They include Clint Didier for U.S. Senate. Washington state level includes Judges Richard Sanders and James Johnson, Michael Baumgartner in the Senate, John Ahern and Matt Shea, state representatives. Spokane County races include Dave Stevens, prosecutor; Vicki Horton, assessor, and Jeff Holy, commissioner.

Having met each of these candidates, I know they believe in limited government. But as opportunity ends, obligation begins with researching those running for precinct committee officer (PCO).

PCOs elect the county party leadership that elects the state leadership. It’s up to you to determine whether these candidates believe in a constitutionally limited government or in one with unconstitutionally expanded power. With many of the PCO positions contested, this is the time to meet your neighbor.
