Wild Card/Tuesday — 7.6.10

My yard and driveway looked like a war zone Monday morning. I had remnants of bottle rockets — cardboard lining and plastic caps — sprayed all over. I might have cared more had I been home on the Fourth of July. I don’t mind neighbors celebrating the Fourth a coupla days before and a coupla days after, including firing off bottle rockets. Which are fairly unpredictable — and absolutely illegal. In fact, I enjoyed watching one neighbor shooting them off on Saturday. However, there’s one person in the neighborhood who has been shooting them off for weeks and will continue to do so for weeks more, usually from 9:30 to 10.
