Vet’s valor instills pride

Thank you so much for printing the story about William Wallace and his heroic aid at a hockey game (July 2). This man bravely fought in the Korean War to give us the freedoms we gratefully enjoy today.

To read the story of his selfless act of courage and again put his life on the line makes me so proud to have someone with such character and so upstanding like this in our community.

Thank you, Mr. Wallace, for being a true hero in every sense. We appreciate you.
