Bench record impressive

I am impressed by District Court Judge Debra Hayes’ handling of the bond hearing for the two suspects charged with violent crimes arising from the Hoopfest shooting. The number of recent violent crimes in our area is discouraging, and Spokane County needs judges who are unapologetic in responding with the appropriate level of caution to defendants who put innocent lives at risk.

I was surprised to learn that Judge Hayes has drawn an opponent, but her consistent record of good decision-making has only strengthened my decision to vote for her again this time around.
