High Noon: Out w/Old Survival Food

Add Spokesman-Review on Google

On Facebook, Joe Butler writes that he “cleaned out the Y2K pantry last night as part of a larger basement spruce-up. Lots of food went away, including stuff that expired 10 years ago and cans with strange bulges. Wasn’t it quaint back in 1999 when the only thing we had to worry about was a few computers resetting to zero?” I had a similar experience some time ago when I finally got around to throwing out survival food I bought in the early ‘80s, after a close encounter with a persuasive Flathead Valley author who made a mint persuading others that hard times were coming.

Question: Have you ever purchased survival food because you thought hard times were coming — only to throw it away later?
