Word games don’t work

Michael Baumgartner’s campaign believes cleverly worded attacks will convince voters Chris Marr is against jobs, small business and education.

The truth is that Chris Marr has created and protected hundreds of local jobs in aerospace, health care and clean energy technology. He helped Spokane companies gain access to low-interest loans and supported retraining programs to help the unemployed get back to work.

Chris Marr led the charge for Spokane’s first medical campus, first Eastern Washington veterans’ cemetery and construction of the north-south freeway. He secured over $16 million for Spokane Public Schools.

While Baumgartner lauds his overseas experience working for a defense contractor, it does not qualify him as a serious candidate who understands the needs of Spokane, nor does it show any previous loyalty to us, Spokane’s voters.

On the other hand, Chris Marr has lived and worked in Spokane for over 25 years – raising his family and running a successful small business.

Partisan rhetoric cannot replace the real results for Spokane’s economy, schools and small businesses produced by Sen. Chris Marr.
