Respect goes both ways
I first met John Ahern when I was serving as a representative for the city of Medical Lake on a DSHS committee looking into standards for housing sex offenders. John Ahern came to a meeting coordinated by the mayor to help me better represent the community and Eastern Washington.
Since then I have had the privilege to get to know him both as a representative and a person.
Rarely do we have an opportunity to elect someone who is a statesman. That is what John Ahern is. He understands what it means to lead and promote the public good and to stand firm on solid principle.
At the same time, he respects the individual voice of his constituents. That respect has garnered him a following that spans the generations. It even gains him acknowledgement from those who do not always agree with him.
The mission of government has become so watered down that those who represent us have forgotten the mandates to protect, defend and serve. John Ahern has not. If you want to do something good for our area, our state and yourself, I recommend casting your vote for John Ahern.
