Revisit fluoride vote

Kudos to Shawn Vestal for his front-page piece on fluoridation (July 28).

Vestal noted that the people of the Inland Northwest have been opposed to fluoridated water, but the United States Air Force is not. What do they know that we don’t?

They know that real science is better than fear-based mythology. We look like fools for not having fluoridated water. Opposing fluoridation is ignorant, stupid, anti-scientific, fraudulent and self-defeating. Unless, that is, you prefer for your children to have higher rates of dental caries.

I agree with Vestal. The issue should be brought back and the frauds confronted. Meanwhile, I shall continue to enjoy my fluoridated water.
