Baumgartner chose to serve

The Spokesman-Review

I have had the opportunity to hear Michael Baumgartner, 6th District Senate candidate, speak several times. While his academic achievements are inspiring, what impressed me the most is what he’s done with his life.

Given his abilities, given his successes, given the opportunities that were available to him, Michael could have done anything he wanted. The world was his oyster. Instead of capitalizing on his achievements, he decided to serve his country. He joined the State Department – no easy task – and went to Iraq and Afghanistan as an economics expert.

Michael is too humble to publicly talk about the risks, challenges, and hardships he was confronted with while there. The military was impressed with his service. Even now, he still acts as an adviser to the military on Iraq and Afghanistan.

We need Michael representing us in Olympia. Please go to www.Baumgartnerforsenate.com. You’ll be as impressed with his qualifications and integrity as I am.
