Confusion within the church
OK, let me be a tad facetious and get this straight: Four California “Christian” judges, who were elected by voters, guided by “God,” believe “God” made it possible to be where they are, swore to “God” that they would follow the law, be fair and unbiased, and rule on what is before them without pressure or influence from “any” political party or group of radicals – and remember that “God” made it possible because nothing occurring in our lives takes place unless He or She allows it, and “God is in control,” right? (“Christian conservatives target California judges,” May 31).
Then a group of “Christian” conservative attorneys intimate that “God” must have been snoozing and had it all wrong, therefore indicating that “God” isn’t all that omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.
These conservatives can believe what they want because that’s all it is, a belief. One claims to think he’s thinking, which is belied by the fact he’s being abulic, the inability to act decisively on your own. He’s “God’s” puppet, and this group’s plaint is pathetic.
So where is the confident belief in the truth, value or trustworthiness of a person(s) when one Christian’s convictions “doubt” another’s Christian convictions?
