Thieves make hard times harder

The Spokesman-Review

What will it take to stop thieves from the House of Charity? I’m a former resident there. In the last few months bicycles and other parts have been stolen from the H.O.C. residents.

They have security cameras, yes, but the incidents usually happen at night. I’m looking for a solution for this problem which is so simple – motion lights around the bike rack. That will cut down a very big percent of theft.

I believe it’s hard enough people are homeless, let alone their only transportation was stolen. Not everyone can afford a bus pass or just go get another bike. I believe if we pull together we all can do something right and positive. If we all pull together and fix the problem, bolt cutters and thieves don’t mix.
