Behind closed doors

The Spokesman-Review

Sure would like to know why Dick Cheney received millions of dollars from BP (British Petroleum), or have we forgotten the closed-door meetings he had with Big Oil?

Thirty-four million dollars can buy a sitting vice president; it can buy a lot of drilling permits, too.

Eleven people dead, their loved ones devastated, livelihoods destroyed, an ecosystem killed. Thirty-four million dollars bought a lot.

Drill, baby, drill. What next, Yellowstone? How about the Grand Tetons or Glacier? Bet there’s lots of oil in those parks. Drill, baby, drill.
