Execution solved nothing

I would like to ask Mr. Jim Paget (Letters, June 23) one question: What good will the execution of Ronnie Lee Gardner do? He killed two people. You can’t execute him twice.

It will not deter the increasing murder rate. Execution no longer scares people. Gang members often use murder as a jump-in method.

I could go on, but people like Mr. Paget would never understand.
