Beach nets 50

Dave Trimmer

Kyle Beach scored two goals, giving him 51 on the season, and the Spokane Chiefs dominated Seattle 4-1.

Beach is the first Chief since Ryan Duthie in 93-94 to get 50. Duthie had 57. There has been only one 50 goal scorer in the WHL in the last four years - Joel Broda notched 50 for Moose Jaw & Calgary last year.

The Chiefs remain four points behind Everett with four to play, three at home. However, reeling Tri-City is just four points ahead. The Chiefs have a home-and-home with Tri-City and close the season with Everett visiting the Arena on next Sunday.
