Column: Letting Go Of Grudges
I’ll be honest … I tend to hold grudges. I’m not typically an angry person, but when it comes to
situations that truly make me angry or people that hurt me either directly or indirectly, I am not one to easily let things go. I’m still mad at a girl from first grade who stole my part in the school play when I was sick for one day. We’re friends now, and she doesn’t know I hold this grudge, but a part of me is still annoyed 16 years later. Seriously, it was only one day. And I was the lead. Anyway, these days it takes a lot to get me to a point where I’ll hold a serious grudge, but I’ve recently discovered that I really do have the power to forgive and move on/
