Daniels joining Gonzaga’s staff
UCLA assistant coach Donny Daniels will replace Leon Rice on the Gonzaga men’s basketball coaching staff, head coach Mark Few said Tuesday afternoon.
Daniels has been at UCLA for the last seven years. He was the head coach at Cal State Fullerton, his alma mater, from 2001-2003. Daniels assisted Rick Majerus at Utah from 1990-2000.
Rice was a GU assistant for 11 years before taking the head coaching position at Boise State last week.
