Ask the Californians
In response to your editorial “Income tax initiative worth pondering,” I have a question: Can you name one state that operates efficiently with an income tax that is controlled by the Democrats?
If high taxes would give us Utopia, why hasn’t it worked for New York and California? It sounds like another attempt to exploit class warfare.
Look at how the federal income tax was introduced, only taxing the “rich.” No one seemed to care. Why not focus on how the existing tax revenues are being spent? It’s hard to find articles from the print media that expose government waste.
