Traffic work delay a relief

The Spokesman-Review

It was with joy and relief that I read our Spokane Valley City Council is to suspend the Broadway Avenue safety project. I access Broadway from Havana to Sullivan, often twice daily. The one lane in either direction with a turn lane can be stressful; try making a left turn and see if anyone lets you merge into traffic. Drivers do not want anyone else in front of them. Young drivers have a way to use this one-lane traffic – just use the unoccupied turn lane and you go to the front of the line.

It would be interesting to see the salaries of all our city employees. No one is entitled to six-digit salaries. Not with the current salary/job cuts. A modest salary is, in my opinion, better than losing one’s job.
