Inside with WSU on Monday night
COUGARS
Washington State is off the turf in the indoor practice facility after its usual short, sweet Monday night let’s-get-the-week-started practice. Not a lot went on, but we do have an update on some of the injuries, plus a couple links, so read on.

• Nothing new in the way of injuries, in the sense everyone we knew was hurt Saturday remained hurt. That includes receiver Gino Simone (concussion) and running backs Arthur Burns (quad) and Marcus Richmond (hamstring). There were some guys back, like receiver Daniel Blackledge (concussion) in a yellow, non-contact jersey, so there was no net gain on the receiving corps. Running backs James Montgomery and Carl Winston were not in yellow and running well, so expect them both back this week. Again, not net change among the running backs. On the defensive side, Sekope Kaufusi was still not suited up, Daniel Simmons’ shoulder injury is still not determined and Alex Hoffman-Ellis, as usual, sat out Monday’s practice. … And that’s about it for a Monday night. … We do have a few links, one to our first look at Oregon State (in the matchup we name defensive tackle Stephen Paea who is one of the Bednarik semifinalists ) and one to a blog post by Lewiston’s Dale Grummert.

• That’s it for tonight. We’ll see you in the morning. Until then …
