Hedberg: Computers On Wheels

Another thing that’s a problem if you haven’t bought a new car in awhile is that these are not your daddy’s Oldsmobiles. They don’t even make Oldsmobiles anymore, do they? What they make now are computers on wheels. There are controls for things that I didn’t even know needed to be controlled and ways to control them that are mind boggling. Don’t think you can operate a new car by simply turning a key or pushing a knob. Oh, no. It’s like operating a space ship. You sit there like Captain Kirk at the head of a multifaceted control panel and punch buttons and give commands and if you know what you’re doing the car will respond.
