Half: GU on top 42-33

Gonzaga, behind the 30 combined points of Elias Harris and Steven Gray, built a 42-33 lead over Marquette at half.

Harris, slowed by injuries the last three weeks, showed his 2009-10 form, piling up 15 points, including GU’s first six of the game. He made 6 of 9 shots, including a 3-pointer.

Gray made five 3s to account for his 15 points.

Gonzaga also got 10 points off the bench, led by Manny Arop’s five.

Darius Johnson-Odom scored 11 points for Marquette , which made five 3s early, but couldn’t solve Gonzaga’s zone defense over the last 7 minutes of the half.
