First
District GOP nominee Raul Labrador canceled a fundraiser that was to
have been hosted by
Idaho GOP Sens. Mike Crapo and Jim Risch and 2nd
District GOP Rep. Mike Simpson. The event was to have been from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at
the Capitol Hill Club near the National Republican Campaign Committee’s
offices. Co-hosts were to pay $2,500, political action committees $1,500
and individuals $1,000. Phil Hardy, Labrador’s campaign spokesman, explained the
cancellation: “The general consensus with the hosts and our organizer
was that due to the imminent recess of Congress we felt it was best to
delay the timing of this event. We weren’t the only ones to cancel
events this week; our fundraiser in DC canceled other client events as
well”/
