GSL/CBBN crossovers confirmed
Greater Spokane League secretary Randy Ryan just confirmed the football play-in and crossover seeds/sites between the GSL and CBBN in two weeks.
Click the tab below for more.
4A : Just one of the three GSL play-in seeds will host on Friday, Nov. 5 - that being the GSL’s top seed. The GSL No. 1 will entertain the CBBN No. 3, the GSL No. 2 will travel to the CBBN No. 2 and the GSL No. 3 will travel to the CBBN No. 1. All games are at 7 p.m.
The highest remaining of these seeds will be the District 5/6/8 No. 1
seed into the state playoff bracket. The second highest remaining seed
will be No. 2 and the third highest remaining seed will be, well, No. 3. This year, the CBBN No. 1 seed is considered the highest seed going into the play-ins with the GSL No. 1 as the second, the CBBN No. 2 as third third, the GSL No. 2 as the fourth, the CBBN No. 3 as the fifth and the GSL No. 3 as the sixth. It flip flops next year.
3A : Just the GSL No. 1 seed will have a home game on Friday, Nov. 5. The GSL No. 1 will take on the CBBN No. 3 and the GSL No. 2 will travel to the CBBN No. 2. The CBBN No. 1 will play host to the CBBN No. 4. All games are tentatively set to start at 6 p.m.
Just like 4A, the highest remaining of these seeds will be the District 5/6/8 No. 1
seed into the state playoff bracket. The second highest remaining seed
will be No. 2 and the third highest remaining seed will be, well, No. 3. This year, the CBBN No. 1 seed is considered the highest seed, the GSL No. 1 is the second and so forth just like 4A. It flip flops next year.
OTHER GAMES : The other crossover matchups also are set at least in 4A. In 4A, the CBBN No. 4 will travel to the GSL No. 4, the GSL No. 5 will travel to the CBBN No. 5 and the GSL No. 6 will go to the CBBN No. 6. In 3A, the remaining GSL and CBBN teams will go into a pool and will be drawn on 10/30 to determine matchups. All the 3A crossover games will be played at CBBN sites. All of the non-playoff crossover games may be played on Thursday, Nov. 4 or Friday, Nov. 5 with times to be determined.
NOTE : The 4A and 3A play-in matchups will flop sites in 2011.
