Fresh face needed

We have an important election coming up to select folks that we send to the Legislature to act in all of our best interests.

Sometimes a person takes a route that seems to wander off the path that we might consider prudent. One such person is Chris Marr, a candidate for re-election in the 6th District. He maintains his interest is conservative, but his voting record demonstrates otherwise. Rather than reduce spending, his record shows that he voted for increased cigarette taxes, card check provisions and bargaining rights to musicians. Most of these labor issues are payback for his close ties to labor organizations.

Now one myth that needs explanation: He did not vote for the final tax package in the wind-down of the Legislature because they had enough votes. He got a bye. Therefore, he could return home and tout that he is a conservative voter. His record shows otherwise. He does not walk the talk.

Strongly consider a new, fresh face this election: Michael Baumgartner.
