Dubious celebration

Poor Chris Marr. Certain organizations are picking on him by sending out mailers addressing his voting record. Let’s have a pity party for poor Chris.

But first, just what are those nasty people saying about the poor fellow. Oh my word, Chris voted for hundreds of millions in tax and fee increases? Impossible! He voted to increase spending by more than $9 billion? Oh, that can’t be right. Chris voted to repeal the state’s debt limit? Say it’s not so!

I have another idea. Let’s invite some of Chris’ friends from the West Side to our little shindig. KXLY says he has 190 donors from Seattle and 102 from Olympia. We can have a grand time, as long as we party before the snow flies. We wouldn’t want our guests to drive over here with studded tires. Chris didn’t really want to ban them, did he?

Since Chris believes in big government, let’s have our party at a government building. How about at the Health District? After all, if Chris had his way, Spokane County’s Health Officer would be chosen in Olympia, not by our local health board.

Let’s wait until Nov. 3 to send out the invitations.
