Will work for tax cuts

It’s possible that some tea party folks and liberals could get together on one issue. Tea partiers talk about the evils of government in bailing out Wall Street over Main Street. Many of all political stripes are equally angry with the big banks, which were “saved” by the public and now steadfastly refuse to lend to small businesses or individuals at reasonable rates. However necessary the bailout may have been to stave off another Great Depression, these banks continue to pay their executives bloated bonuses for, well, mostly enriching themselves.

This imbalance could be rectified as follows: Keep the Bush tax cuts for working people, even relatively well-off working people, while rescinding those tax cuts for the super-wealthy individuals who continue to benefit from the economy while others suffer. Let’s let the Bush tax cuts expire for married couples making over $250,000 a year and individuals over $150,000. These folks should be more than happy to support a government and country that paved the way for them to become part of an international elite. All should give back in proportion to what they have received.
