Liberal mindset main threat

What an amazing coincidence! I’d just finished reading Charles Krauthammer’s excellent editorial (“Liberals clinging to arrogance,” Aug. 28) when Rod Stackelberg (“Hostile values on the right,” letters, Aug. 29) provided us with a classic example of that self-same liberal arrogance.

But, Stackelberg is not alone. We see liberal arrogance, on a daily basis, from the mainstream media to The Spokesman-Review.

Rod explains that the “values” of the “political left” include democracy, social and racial equality and the “progressive ideals of international peace and justice.” Wow, it almost makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Realistically, though, I’m persuaded that the values of the political left can be summed up as “socialism, sodomy and surrender.” The same can be said for the vile, corrupt and immoral Democratic Party.

Mr. Stackelberg, the greatest threat to our republic today is the evil machinations of the Marxist left, from the White House to Spokane, not the “tea party.”
