Water supply same as always

The most recent self-appointed climatologist, Hillary, says, “It is obvious the floods in Pakistan result from climate change.” I won’t go back to Noah’s ark, but I can truthfully say that I walked on parts of the Iranian desert and saw sand dollars and other marine life, indicating a past sea bottom.

There is only so much water on Planet Earth. It is in the oceans, lakes, rivers, clouds, snow, year-round ice in the polar regions and subsurface aquifers.

About 1920 saw the beginning of serious wetland drainage in the USA. The need was for land for agriculture, housing, commerce and industry.

The first efforts were drain tiles in hand-dug trenches. The “machine age” vastly increased draining from wetlands to the nearest river.

Where there once were ponds and wetlands there now are homes, factories, parking lots, shopping centers, cornfields, and water storage ability is gone. Many other nations drained wetlands and some experience periodic flooding from heavy rains and snowmelt.

Mother Nature continues to control the weather. Climatologists record it. The “Green Swindle” and CO2 have no relation.
