Protocol column pointless

Shawn Vestal’s article, “Kirkpatrick’s ‘protocol’ lecture missed the point” (Sept. 10), was interesting in that Vestal made no point either. Why this liberal has a job writing for a metropolitan newsletter (oops, sorry, I mean newspaper) is a mystery to me. The only thing I can think of is that he’s working pro bono, when he really should be flipping patties at Harold’s Burger Beanery (under close supervision of course).

If subscribers cannot have a full-fledged newspaper we should at least expect quality reporting. Vestal is an affront to liberals, conservatives, Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, Mormons, hari-karis and anyone in between.
