Archive funds needed now

We understand that there is a fund set aside for building a Washington state archive. If this is true, then we think some of those dollars should be used now to secure the futures of the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma and the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane.

With these two existing museums struggling to make ends meet, it seems to be sheer folly to let funds sit unused until the timing is right to build another facility.

The MAC already archives the entire MONAC collection and much of the Armed Forces and Aerospace Museum collection as well.
