This isn’t really an events driven blog but with there’s so much happening in the month of April - it’s Earth Month, after all- that it’s hard not get excited as the calendar keeps filling up with educational opportunities. The Spokane Riverkeeper is keeping a busy schedule too and tipped me off to a cool event called “Project WET and Aquifer Education Workshop at the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center on April 16th from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Since 1984, Project WET , an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has dedicated itself to the mission of reaching children, parents, teachers and community members of the world with water education. Project WET achieves its mission of worldwide water education by:

Participants at the Spokane Workshop will:
• recieve a Project WET curriculum guide
• walk through the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer curriculum for Washington and Idaho
• learn about local water issues from experts in the field
• find fun ways to integrate water activites into your curriculum.
