Wild steelhead are in decline
From the Columbia to Seattle’s Green River, wild steelhead populations are quickly disappearing. Listed as threatened, even hatchery efforts are failing, despite moves to grow their numbers. They are an important legacy to the Northwest - and have been greaty reduced to a fraction of their once historical capacity.
