Local Tea Party Fetes Miller At 6 PM

Alaskan Joe miller, the Tea Party candidate who won the GOP primary for U.S. Senate in 2010 only to be defeated in a recount by write-in incumbent Lisa Murkowski in the general election, will be the guest speaker this evening at the 3rd annual gathering of Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho. The event begins at 6 o’clock at the Greyhound Park in Post Falls. Miller faced Democrat Scott McAdams and Independent Lisa Murkowski in the general election. According to Wikipedia , the machine count of the ballots cast in the Nov. 2 election showed that the largest number, 41 percent, were write-ins; the second largest number, 35 percent, were for Miller.
