McGarry a proven leader

Tom McGarry is an experienced, committed leader, with demonstrated skills in addressing complex issues. He understands the critical fiduciary responsibilities of managing public funding and assets. As president of the West Central Community Center for six years, the board of directors under his presidency took a $1 million city of Spokane facility and expanded it to a $5 million city asset.

This challenge required collaborative skills, keen insight and judgment and the ability to address challenging and complex sets of issues. His ability to support staff, build consensus with key partners, effectively work with the board to address key decision-makers and funding sources, enabled us to accomplish all of the board of directors’ and staff’s goals.

I support Tom McGarry as a new commissioner for Spokane County Fire District 9, Position 1.
