Money is power
Money is power. America’s greatness has been liberty of the people, which is guarded by the U.S. Constitution. A main goal of the Constitution is to limit the accumulation of power. The founders understood the allure of power and the historical fact accumulation of power leads to tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson put it plainly: “In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”
Usurpation of the Constitution has always been the challenge of a free America. George Washington warned us of constitutional usurpation: “… But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this in one instance may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”
Constitutional usurpation removing federal government limitations has caused the current economic crisis. A move away from original intent is a move toward enslavement. The Debt Commission warned of economic crisis if spending and the deficit are not reduced. Moody’s warns of credit rating downgrade without cuts. A Balanced Budget Amendment is necessary to reduce power. Politicians who oppose a BBA work against free America.
Money is power.
