Anti-Murray rant childish

I generally appreciate the discussion of ideas on The Spokesman-Review editorial page, but Ms. Michelle Malkin’s Tuesday attack on Sen. Patty Murray was a new low. Ms. Malkin compared our senator to animals and cartoon characters in a childish, churlish rant that was factually and grammatically challenged.

Would a sitting male senator receive the same schoolyard name-calling? I doubt it. Perhaps that’s why they love Malkin at Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News.

What was most striking was the hypocrisy of Ms. Malkin’s piece. She lambastes Murray on fiscal policy for daring to defend Social Security and the interests of working families, yet makes no mention of the eight years of war-spending and extravagant tax cuts for the rich under President George W. Bush.

I’m proud to have Patty Murray as my senator. I’m less proud of Ms. Malkin’s use of the English language.
