Thankful for McMorris Rodgers

I would like to challenge citizens to read and study the American Constitution and how our great country was formed. In doing so, you will find the safeguards in place that we do not become a Third World dictatorship.

In our country we have two distinct parties. That means that when one party is in control and starts going down the wrong path, the people can elect those that more identify with their concerns.

To question the character of elected officials for representing the party that you do not agree with is simple-minded. Jim Wavada writes in his Aug. 20 letter that he is “unhappy” with Cathy McMorris Rodgers. It is obvious that he is a Democrat. McMorris Rodgers represents my concerns for this country extremely well, because we are both Republicans.

Sens. Murray and Cantwell do not represent me at all. They do not even listen to my concerns. I have met McMorris Rodgers and have followed her for years. Wavada’s rant does not even come close to her heart for the constituents she represents.

Thank God for McMorris Rodgers and those like her who are willing to be in public office.
