Glad to see credit

In contrast to Stefanie Pettit’s opinion, I was glad to see the media credit the near-drowning victim’s praying friends for his recovery. Such a positive story as opposed to all the killing, drugs and politicians’ latest promises that are constantly in the news.

If someone wants to pray in public – grand! No matter what the denomination, prayer certainly beats a lot of other stuff folks are doing. For crying out loud, give the media credit for reporting on something worthwhile for a change.

I did agree with Pettit’s condemnation of the sports “greats” who make a touchdown and gesture heavenward, as if thanking God for the points. That just looks silly.
