Survey Sez … Congress Just Terrible

This just in: Many Americans are disillusioned with Congress. The news, according to a Gallup poll released this week, is the historic magnitude of our disgust. Sixty-four percent of respondents gave Congress “low” or “very low” marks for honesty or ethical standards — a landslide majority that would seem to transcend ideology or party. Gallup has asked similar poll questions since 1976, and no profession has graded lower than Congress did this year. And it hasn’t always been this way.
