Obesity weakening our nation

Obesity is a disease that is rapidly weakening our entire country. While people may have the right to choose whether they stay obese or not, obesity is holding our country back from its full potential because it decreases life spans and causes health problems.

We can be a more long-lived group of people if we decrease obesity rates and exercise more. It’s understandable that people don’t want others controlling their private lives, but it’s in our best interest for them to change their habits and exercise more. Also, healthy people can be taken care of more easily than obese. Most leading causes of death in our country can be directly linked to obesity. These causes of death cause one in every eight deaths, along with both premature death and a lower quality of living.

Others may choose to be unhealthy, but we all need to help eliminate obesity and make ourselves a stronger nation by increasing life spans and decreasing health issues. Call your obese or overweight friends or family today and get them on track to making us a stronger, healthier nation.
