Murray’s request is tragic

On Dec. 8, Sen. Patty Murray emailed her constituents requesting stories of difficulties that were brought on by the current economic mess we are in. She hopes our stories will motivate Congress to extend federal unemployment benefits.

Sen. Murray’s request is a disgusting effort to use people’s hardships. This “parade of victims” will serve as an indictment against this administration and its congressional partners for abuses such as:

1) Fannie and Freddie (and government regulators) that knowingly caused the subprime lending mess.

2) President Obama’s use of taxpayer stimulus and bailout money to recycle large funds to his donors, as in Solyndra, Tesla Motors and Soros’ Brazilian oil ventures.

3) Congressional “legal” insider trading and extravagances such as lifetime premier health and retirement packages.

Any effort on the senator’s part that causes this country to go even further in debt would be equivalent to promoting economic slavery. Sen. Murray’s “I need your help” cry is a pathetic use of the tragedy she helped cause.
