Teacher was unprofessional

The people who are defending Jennifer Walther’s actions in the recent high school candidates forum seem to fall into two categories. One, she is a terrific teacher. Fair enough. Two, she is a poor conservative being picked on by the twin evils of unions and liberals. That part is nonsense.

She took what should have been a great learning and civics lesson for some bright students and used it and them to push what is increasingly viewed across the nation as an extremist agenda. Her personal ideology is her business, but in her classroom she is a professional, and her conduct in this instance was decidedly unprofessional.
