Right endangers rights

As a citizen of the United States living and working in the state of Idaho, I object to Republican legislators and others pursuing unilateral nullification of federal law as it applies to American citizens living in this state. You seek to take away our legal rights, something which can only be done legally in one of two ways: either by a federal judge or court finding said laws unconstitutional, or via additional congressional legislation.

You cannot abridge my legal rights as an American citizen by any means other than those itemized above, and you cannot unilaterally abridge health care rights I now enjoy as a U.S. citizen, nor abridge my property rights and interests concerning publicly owned federal lands and resources.

Thankfully, we live in the United States of America, and not some neo-confederate rump in which corrupt politicians, vested interests and powerful minorities can play quite so fast and easy with the legally protected rights of ordinary citizens. Go relive the Civil War somewhere else – the good guys won, and we now enjoy equality and full protection under federal law, as citizens of the United States of America.
